چکیده

We show the existence of a reversible, complementary and polarity dependant electric pulse-induced resistance (EPIR) switching effects in Au=YBa2Cu3O7 d ceramic superconductor interfaces. Non-volatile high and low resistance states and transition regions between them are obtained as a function of the amplitude and polarity of the pulsing voltage. Relaxation processes of the resistivity after applying the pulses, not associated with heating effects, are also observed. We also report on the temperature sensitivity of these resistance hysteresis switching loops, where both the difference between high and low resistance states and the voltage needed to produce the switching decrease with increasing temperature. Our results are consistent with a mechanism for the EPIR effect based on oxygen electromigration. & 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Field-induced resistive switching in metal-oxide interfaces

We investigate the polarity-dependent field-induced resistive switching phenomenon driven by electric pulses in perovskite oxides. Our data show that the switching is a common occurrence restricted to an interfacial layer between a deposited metal electrode and the oxide. We determine through impedance spectroscopy that the interfacial layer is no thicker than 10 nm and that the switch is accom...

Resistive Switching Dynamics in Current-Biased Y-Ba-Cu-O Microbridges Excited by Nanosecond Electrical Pulses

40 LLE Review, Volume 89 The response of a superconductor to the injection of current pulses depends directly on the quasiparticle dynamics1 since the carriers injected from the external circuit are normal (unpaired) electrons that disturb the quasiparticle–Cooperpair dynamical equilibrium. Most commonly, a current pulse with an amplitude higher than the sample critical current Ic is used (supe...
